Spring 2008 Ready To Wear Is Here.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with Dolce & Gabbana's latest collection (Spring '08 RTW). I loved Autumn/Winter 2007's metallic twists and cinched in waists-especially this number.

But the Spring RTW collection is nothing special. White, black, lots of William Morris inspired prints splashed on skirts, trousers and bags. It's quite a colourful collection, a murky mustard green re-appearing quite a few times. A cinched in waist is again key for this collection, but instead of thick corset metallic belts, Dolce &Gabanna's belts are skinny and just above the hip bones.

Although I don't like the print on the dress, I love the texture and shape. I just want to jump into it and sleep in it. Obviously after trying it on.

I noticed that the main shoes (aside from simple, strappy heels^above) in the collection are lace up ankle boots. I surprised myself because they're not really my usual style, but they really caught my eye. And style is all about evolving, isn't it?Printed, patent, peep-toe. They have a variety but the ankle boots are all lace-ups. I can't stop looking at the fourth pair.

You know how much I like Dsquared2. And it turns out that the designers who I referred to as Mr and Mr Dsquared2 in this post, are actually twins! Here are my favourites from their collection.

I love these dresses. The black one is something I'd love to wear to a party, the white looks Chloe-esque, and I find the purple quite mainstream looking, but the colour just grabs my attention.

These swimming costumes make me want to go straight to St. Tropez-who cares if I've never been?

Rihanna (and the twins!) as the star of the show, in what I assume to be the showstopping dress. I think it's gorgeous. Looks quite Cavalli, and if worn on the wrong person it could really come off quite tacky. The top picture-Bruna in the purple dress with embellishment-is breathtaking. I love Bruna's beauty, the pose with the cigarette and flow of the dress. I'm guessing purple, and embellishment is key for Spring.
