I Promised! Rihannna Concert Yesterday

Rocky gladiator outfit, started show in this.

WOW.

Yesterday, Monday 17th December was the day of Rihanna's concert. I was sooooooooo excited!!!

We arrived, queued for ages to get into the cloakroom. It took a long time for Ciara, the support act to come on and she was on a bit too long. I couldn't hugely enjoy her songs because I don't find them that amazign and I didn't really know the words. But Goodies and 1, 2 Step were really good. It was good to see her anyway.

Then after an hour of Ciara, Rihanna still didn't come on. And they played us music for 30 mins. Then finally, she came on and was AMAZING!

Me and Hannah were planning on dodging our way up to the front, but it was harder than we thought and we ended up feeling guilty. Still we had a really good view very close to the stage, and i took a lot of videos and photos.

If you're going to see Rihanna, I know you'll have a great time. Just learn the words to her songs so you can sing along completely! I knew most of the words, but Hannah hadn't heard alot of her album. Then with Ciara, I knew just a few lines and she knew most words. It makes a difference when you can sing along!

She had a few different outfits. I loved the rocky element to her show. I think the best songs were SOS, Pon de Replay (even though I used to hate it), Shut up and Drive, Push Up On Me, and definitely, Please Don't Stop The Music. I was just raving away while some people stood there with their girlfriends just shaking their arms. lOl. As well as her whole album, she also sang hate That I Love You, Break It Off and a Bob Marley song because he's one of her favourite artists. I'm going to see the Spice Girls in January, so I'll be posting a lot of pictures =)
Xmas posts coming soon...

SPICE UP MY LIFE!

I'M SOOOOOO SOOOOO HAPPY/ELATED/EXHILIRATED/BLISSFUL
Whatever you want to call it!

The reason is that I'm going to see the Spice Girls! I found out the other day, but I haven't been blogging for awhile so it took me awhile to blog it on here.
Chloie and I had to do a lot of searching through pages and pages of dates, putting in our ticket codes, checking the amount of tickets available. Orginally four of us were going, then the other 2 dropped out because it was too expensive, so me and Chloie were the only ones left going and in the end, the only tickets we could find were the ones with a price that my friends were willing to pay but they didn't have 5 available, just 3. When I found out I was going, I ran through my house screaming, ran into the garden and ran up and down shouting "I'm going to see the Spice Girls! I'm GOING TO SEE THE SPICE GIRLS!"
One of my (probably earliest) memories is buying my first album which was the Spice Girls album. I remember walking into the Music shop, in Holland, down the road from my Oma's flat, and walking out of the shop with my Dad, with my just bought album in a plastic bag. I can't remember if I was completely entranced by them when I was that little, but I know i liked their music alot, and when I dug out the CD a few years ago, it turned out I knew the words to their songs. =D

Does anyone remember Aqua-Barbie Girl? That was my first single, and I remember ripping off the wrapping paper of one of my Xmas presents in Holland and finding that single underneath. I like to have these memories.

Anyway-the majority of people I have told have given me a look that says 'how stupid' but I don't really care! I'll be seeing them on Tuesday 8th Jan, 3 days after my 16th birthday so it will be an amazing experience. I'm going with my friend, Chloie and her mum.

Oh, and remember I talked about wanting to go to the Rihanna concert? Well, me and Hannah got tickets! So we'll be going on Monday 17th Dec, the last week of term for 2007.

It hasn't come without consequences though, the tickets have set me back 90 pounds plus tranport there and back. And I'm supposed to be buying myself a mobile. And my wardrobe feels empty of any new pruchases. But I really think it will be worth it.
I think this shows you that if you really want something, there is a chance you can get it. ♥
I also have an unused Spice Girls ticket code. This means that instead of paying hunders of pounds on eBay for Spice Girls tickets, you can pay just 55 or 75 pounds. If you're interested in getting this code, leave a comment.

Spring 2008 Ready To Wear Is Here.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with Dolce & Gabbana's latest collection (Spring '08 RTW). I loved Autumn/Winter 2007's metallic twists and cinched in waists-especially this number.

But the Spring RTW collection is nothing special. White, black, lots of William Morris inspired prints splashed on skirts, trousers and bags. It's quite a colourful collection, a murky mustard green re-appearing quite a few times. A cinched in waist is again key for this collection, but instead of thick corset metallic belts, Dolce &Gabanna's belts are skinny and just above the hip bones.

Although I don't like the print on the dress, I love the texture and shape. I just want to jump into it and sleep in it. Obviously after trying it on.

I noticed that the main shoes (aside from simple, strappy heels^above) in the collection are lace up ankle boots. I surprised myself because they're not really my usual style, but they really caught my eye. And style is all about evolving, isn't it?Printed, patent, peep-toe. They have a variety but the ankle boots are all lace-ups. I can't stop looking at the fourth pair.

You know how much I like Dsquared2. And it turns out that the designers who I referred to as Mr and Mr Dsquared2 in this post, are actually twins! Here are my favourites from their collection.

I love these dresses. The black one is something I'd love to wear to a party, the white looks Chloe-esque, and I find the purple quite mainstream looking, but the colour just grabs my attention.

These swimming costumes make me want to go straight to St. Tropez-who cares if I've never been?

Rihanna (and the twins!) as the star of the show, in what I assume to be the showstopping dress. I think it's gorgeous. Looks quite Cavalli, and if worn on the wrong person it could really come off quite tacky. The top picture-Bruna in the purple dress with embellishment-is breathtaking. I love Bruna's beauty, the pose with the cigarette and flow of the dress. I'm guessing purple, and embellishment is key for Spring.

Revamp Babyyyyyy.

Yes-it's a revamp. Do you like it? Or should I go back to the original? Honesty is valued.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately...Here is the thong for my soon to be Sweet 16 (tomorrow!) friend. Yes, it's slutty, and yes, it's stupid. But that's 16 years old for you.

Today we had the Yearbook awards at school. After spending the first 10 mins looking at the sheet and laughing about the questions, I realised I had ten minutes left to fill them all in. Obviously I left all the hard ones till the end, and then I ran out of time. So there were no 'best looking boy', 'prettiest girl', best dressed girl' 'make-up queen' coming from me. I've been nominated atleast 4 times for 'most blonde moments' and once for most likely to be a millionaire. Apparently Laura thought that I would do something accidental like break something and then make a million from it. Although they didn't have some of last year's ones, like 'most likely to end up in prison', 'most likely to have plastic surgery', 'Barbie and Ken', and 'cutest couple', we did have some other ones like 'most like a gangsta', and 'most likely to become a pornstar'.

I've decided against the Clothes Show Live idea. Well, actually I've been forced not to go, because my mum won't let me. I can't wait till the days that you don't have someone telling you what to do. But instead, we're hoping to go to a Rihanna concert. Oh yeah, how good would that be?? Well, I can see many of you tutting and saying go appreciate some proper music but I like alot of different music. And I've actually never been to a concert before. I know it's a sin. We were planning on going to see Kanye West but he's too popular to be able to buy the tickets when you have the money. So Rihanna would be good.

And here is another cheap find...Timeless and chic-a black trenchcoat. It was only 15 pounds. Once again, from Primark. I was originally going to get a navy-blue one, but someone found my hiding place in the corner of the shop and the whole lot had sold out anyway.

Excuse the rubbed out face, but I looked a bit mooshed.

I'm also saving for a phone, and a ticket to the concert. So I'm selling stuff on ebay.
