I'm Getting Too Fickle For This

I really am. I realised that, although nice, Just Say: Vintage and Apple Pie blended in with all those other vintage blogs. I wanted something a bit bolder and snappier. I'm not too sure about the black/coral colour scheme, but the colours are something I will change with the seasons (and my fickle mind). The explanation is that K I K I has been my mum's nickname for me for a long, long time.
Anyway hopefully this will be the one to stay. Are you happy with it? I'm sorry for all the confusion. This blog is starting to earn a split-personality status.

AND

PLEASE NOTE:
The military jacket I've been promising to list soon and later etc, I listed on Saturday as Buy it now/make offers. I've also changed my mind with this. (Don't laugh, please! =D) I've now started it at an auction at £10.00 which is a third of its original price. That's about $20. I ship worldwide too.
This is clearly an Easter for changes...

Item: Military Jacket, Status: Listed and Active

Just a quick little note that my eBay auction for the military jacket is now up. I'm not really happy with the photos but my camera batteries said goodnight and i really just wanted to get it listed. Please check it out, it does look better than in the photos.

I just thought...Hup 2,3,4, I declare a bidding war! would have been a great (embarrassingly cheesy but great) title to this post. But I've put the jacket on buy it now or best offer so it can't be used....

ebay preview: military jacket

First of all, thank you for the interest in my ebay previews. I've got a couple of pictures of the military jacket, as described in the previous post. Sorry the pictures aren't great, but i have art to get to!I'll be putting all the items up on ebay later this week.

Ok, so now a description for the jacket.
Aubergine colour.
Brand new, with tag
From Dorothy Perkins
Label reads UK size 12, but i don't think this is quite right. Here's my version of sizing:
size 8: oversized jacket
size 10: depending on your size could be fitted, slightly loose, or oversized.
small size 12: fitted
Don't be worried that this jacket is a 12. I think that it will look great fitted, but also oversized.
Material-100% cotton
hook and eye fastening
3 pockets shown are decorative.
purple ribbon round the seams.
brassy buttons, band style.
criss cross detail on lower back of jacket.
Check back later this week for links or leave a blog or email for me to contact you at with a notification.
Here's what I wore at the weekend. I was feeling uninspired so it's not a great outfit. Well, as soon as i get some money I will keep revitalising my wardrobe.

I bought a few things in Holland, this pair of red patent pumps from Esprit was one of them. Actually my dad bought these. I was in V&D looking for some patents, tried on a mid heel pair but they just didn't look right. I glanced round and spotted them, looking lonely and sitting their next to a stack of shoes boxes, in their Esprit box. They're the perfect fit and were the last pair! Were 60 euros, reduced to 30= £20.

(fake leather jacket*): H&M Young
grey vest: New Look
blue skinnies: Topshop
gingham top (worn backwards): unknown second hand
red pumps: Esprit
bag: Den Haagse market
necklace: Freedom at Topshop

Thanks to my little sis for taking the pics in my back garden =) And excuse the weird facial expression in the 2nd, I was messing around.

*I've been wanting a leather jacket for a while. This wasn't my 'ideal' one, I've been looking for a vintage, well worn one, in between brown and black, which biker style, but not too much. Fussy, i know. =) Anyway i often take a look through the kids sections in shops. They're so cheap! And i found this jacket in H&M Young (in Den Haag) for just 15 euros. £10!

eBay previews

On a rather impulsive decision, purely based on meaningless visual pleasure, I changed my blog address, banner, blog name. Even the font. The only thing that's the same is my blog-and me =) Hope it didn't confuse you too much, what do you think of it-a good before and after? Explanation of new blog name: i love apple pie, and am currently trying to build up a collection of vintage clothes. Just say those two words to me and i get excited. =)

Surprisingly I haven't kept up with fashion week very well...I'm not going to post lots of pictures picking out my favourites, I've seen that on a lot of blogs but Lala's reviews really stand out to me. =)
I've found some items which I'm previewing here as they will be up on eBay soon, but comment me if you are interested in any, i might be able to hold it for you. =)

Here's the story of these Replay trainers: A few years ago I went through a Converse phase, I was desperate to own a pink pair i think. A walk past Lazybones made me spot these Replay trainers. In the style of Converse etc, I fell in love. They were in the 'sale' for £52, I'm not 100% sure what they were before, £70ish maybe.
Size: UK SIZE: 7/40 but i am a 6/6.5 and they fit me. US SIZE: 8.5/9/9.5
The label reads size UK 7/40/US 8.5 but I am a 5 in heels, 6 in flats and they fit me with extra room to breathe.
Anyway my mum bought them for me, only for me to push them to the back of my wardrobe after I didn't think they suited me. So they are barely worn.
Bottoms of trainers: mint condition, you can't tell they've been worn a couple times.
Flaws: The material parts of the shoe are less bright white than before as they have been worn a few times, and there are a few little marks on the rubbery sides of the trainers.
Overall: great condition, slight wear just adds to the trainers. Look almost new.

Enough chat-here's some photos.

Gladiator sandals are 'in' right now, so it's lucky I've got these.
Story: Dad got them for me last summer but they didn't fit.
Condition: Brand new, unworn. Not sure how much he paid for them.
Label: C'M.
size: UK SIZE 5/38 but they fit a size 6/39 too. US SIZE: 7.5/8/8.5
I know it's a bit confusing that the sizes are broad, this is because the label reads a size UK 5/38/US 7.5 but also fits my model who is a size UK 6/39/US 8.5.
The straps on the side are adjustable. Perfect with tanned legs on a summer holiday.
Overall: many gladiator sandals are below the ankle, why not opt for a unique style?

I also have an unworn, with tag, military aubergine jacket which could be worn by a large 8/10/small 12 (these are UK sizes), i'll put it up later but I'm off to bed now. I haven't slept properly this week and i need it.
Chez Beaute asked 'do you think someone small could wear it as an oversized jacket?'
Definitely. If you're a small 12, it will be a fitting jacket, on an 8/10 it will look great as oversized.

Any q's, just comment.
